Tweeting
After sending this out as a newsletter, I got email suggesting that I was better suited to the long form – or, at least, everyone told me to stop tweeting and start writing again.
On the other hand, I got a few notes of encouragement from people who want me to sell my soul and privacy for zilch. If I have to write for free, it’s going to be very wordy. That’s just the way I am. My very wise mother always told me “People will hate you for the same reasons that other people love you. So just be yourself.”
But …
If I was a tweeter on Twitter here are some Tweets of the Day.
Read about me & my apartment in the NY POST real estate section (more photos in paper than online)
Southern Italian Table is on WASHINGTON POST’s best cookbooks of 2009 list. Cookbooks are a good gift.
I’m quoted in the JEWISH WEEK about Chanukah --
PRIME MEATS, Court St. Carroll Gardens, great style, great burger and fries $13, rare & good choucroute platter $16 – gotta try a steak.
“Southern Italian” BEST COOKBOOK according to http://cookingwithamy.blogspot.com/
Eating in the THEATER DISTRICT. Love exploring the Thai kitchen of WONDEE SIAM, 792 Ninth Ave. A dump but cheap. Thai friends say authentic.
Other favorite Thai is MAI THAI on Eighth Ave. in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, corner 47th St. Try duck and/or bbq beef salads. Be prepared for heat.
Just bought Fairway cheese ravioli. Not nearly as good as PASTOSA, still my favorite.

ROBERTA’S pizzeria, the cutting edge in Bushwick, Brooklyn, has great pies, but insane noise and great pretense. I won’t go back.
Tried Rozanne’s “Eat Fresh Food” chicken breast method. Even I liked them! Salt pepper brush with garlic olive oil, 500 degrees 10 minutes. Could be 1 or 2 more for extra thick.
